The Ribera of Navarra is a region with remarkable biodiversity, both in terms of flora and fauna. Thanks to the presence of rivers such as the Ebro, which crosses the region from north to south, together with its Mediterranean climate, the area is home to a wide variety of ecosystems supporting a rich diversity of species.

In terms of flora, visitors can find species typical of riverside environments such as willows, alders, poplars and reeds growing along the banks of rivers and streams. There are also shrub species such as brambles, hawthorn and blackthorn, which form part of the vegetation found in riverside woodlands.

In addition to its importance as a habitat for aquatic birds, the Ribera of Navarra is also a vital ecosystem for mammals such as otters, badgers, foxes and wild boar, as well as for a great variety of fish and amphibians living in the rivers and streams of the region. It is an exceptional natural environment that deserves to be preserved and protected in order to guarantee the survival of its rich flora and fauna.
