Qanat or Río Llano Mines

This historic hydraulic system, made up of underground galleries, made it possible to collect and distribute water for consumption and irrigation in an area with scarce surface resources. It is a singular example of traditional hydraulic engineering and forms part of Cintruénigo’s ethnographic heritage, although it is not equipped as a visitable resource.
