San Adrián Canning Fair

On 17 May, the San Adrián Canning Fair returns, an event designed to promote and showcase seasonal agri-food products from La Ribera. Above all, it highlights San Adrián’s identity as a canning town and helps preserve that legacy through the celebration of the fair.

San Adrián grew exponentially thanks to the canning industry, and part of its heritage, such as the chimneys of the old factories, is still carefully preserved at different points around the town. This fair is organised so that San Adrián’s strong canning tradition and its history are not forgotten.

The fair programme will include:

- Local canned produce market.

- Show cooking and tastings.

- Visits to the Canning Museum.

- Children’s workshops and theatre.

- Traditional craft demonstrations.

- Exhibition of canning machinery.

- Demonstration of traditional preserve-making.
