Molinar River Canal
The Molinar River Canal is a hydraulic infrastructure that runs through the city of Tudela, in Navarre. Built in the 18th century, it was designed to carry water for irrigating the market gardens and fields along the banks of the River Ebro in the Tudela area. It is 6 kilometres long and is supplied by the River Queiles through the Santa Quiteria weir.
Today, the Molinar River Canal remains an important irrigation resource, managed by the Comunidad de Regantes de la Acequia del Molinar. It is also a local attraction, as it can be followed on foot or by bicycle along a path running parallel to the canal, with views of the gardens and fields of the Ebro riverbank.
