Hípica Zahorí
The company Hípica Zahorí Caballos de Navarra, based in the Navarran town of Falces, organises all kinds of equestrian displays, showcasing the various disciplines and activities associated with the world of horses in the most entertaining way possible, aimed at all audiences, whether or not they are familiar with the subject.
Currently, on an estate covering over 200,000 m², it has 35 horses, a herd of oxen and 50 fighting bulls. The latter have been introduced to bring to life a new show that recreates the tradition of transhumance, when livestock farmers would drive their animals along the Cañadas Reales and lead them into the villages that were holding festivals. Hípica Zahorí has been staging this type of show for over four years in various towns across Spain and France. The rest of the year, he works at his riding centre, giving lessons and preparing various shows. This is a show aimed at all audiences. Horses, oxen, riders and dancers take the audience on a journey through the different disciplines that have developed within the art of equestrianism. Several of these disciplines have their origins in tasks that were traditionally carried out in the countryside, such as the ‘garrocha’, the ‘arrastre’ or the ‘parada de bueyes’.
Services offered:
- Horse riding trails. We can organise any horse riding trail you wish, whether within or outside Navarre, although there are spectacular landscapes and trails right on our doorstep.
- Equestrian displays. We have a group of riders and dancers who put on various equestrian displays on special days dedicated to horses, or simply at local festivals, etc.
- Bull-fighting events. Celebrate a special day with friends, your social group, work colleagues, your football team, etc., by hosting a bull-fighting event accompanied by a delicious meal in an unrivalled setting: the Finca El Montecillo in Milagro.
- Horse riding lessons. We offer a wide range of lessons, including cowboy-style dressage, classical dressage, carriage driving, high-level riding and, of course, beginners’ lessons for both children and adults.
- Weddings and horse-drawn carriage rides. We have an Ecijano Phaeton, a Sociable vis-à-vis with cream-coloured leather and another with black leather and wood, and a wagoneta, which we use to transport the bride and groom, dignitaries, etc., on festive occasions such as weddings, pilgrimages, or any celebration worth its salt.
- Private tours. Corporate events, private dinners, any kind of event you can think of… it can all become a reality with Hípica Zahorí.
- Horse-drawn carriage rides. Enjoy a bespoke horse-drawn carriage ride. We travel to any town or province to offer you a unique and iconic ride. Please do not hesitate to ask us for information; we’ll be delighted to assist you.
- Training and boarding. This section covers a range of training options; although the initial training of a foal is the same across all disciplines, once the horse has been properly trained, we can specialise it in cowboy-style dressage, classical dressage, haute école, show jumping, carriage driving, or simply use it as a horse for trail rides in the countryside. At Zahorí, we can cater for all the disciplines mentioned above.
