Church of San Francisco Javier
The town’s main church was inaugurated in 1944 with a neo-medieval aesthetic. Its greatest treasure is a small Mannerist altarpiece from around 1570, originally from Ollogoyen: a predella with panels, a single body with three sections between fluted Ionic pilasters, a frieze of cherubs and an attic with Corinthian columns and a straight pediment decorated with foliage. The ensemble also preserves a Rococo ciborium from 1776 with Mexican hallmarks and devotional pieces from the 17th and 18th centuries, together with the contemporary carved image of San Francisco Javier.
