Mink Territory: Soto Abajo Wetland and Sotos del Arquillo

The Arga river corridor in Falces includes habitats of high value for mammals such as the European mink. The Soto Abajo Wetland has walkways and interpretive panels that make it easy to follow a comfortable route through reedbeds and gallery woodland. Upstream, the Sotos del Arquillo and Barbaraces are preserved as a nature reserve within Navarre’s Network of Natural Areas. Birdwatching, reading the agricultural landscape and environmental education are the main themes of the visit, with easy routes suitable for families.
