I Jornadas de Agroturismo en Falces

This weekend 28th, 29th and 30th May sees the start of the first Agrotourism Conference in Falces. They will be held over two weekends, this one and the 4th, 5th and 6th of June.

It is going to be a new and innovative event organised by the Falces Town Council and with many exciting activities about Agrotourism in its programme.

You will be able to enjoy a wide range of interesting and varied activities such as:

Temporary exhibition of farming tools, where there will be different samples of old farming tools and implements.

Visit to the Loregar greenhouses, where the hydroponic tomato growing technique will be shown in the greenhouses and will end with a tomato tasting.

Visit to Bodegas Armendáriz where we will learn about the family history of the winery, see its facilities, as well as the whole process of making, ageing and bottling its wines. The visit will conclude with a wine tasting and a glass of wine as a gift.

Afternoon in the countryside at Hípica Zahorí. We offer the possibility to have lunch at the farm (with a self-catered meal) and then spend an afternoon in the countryside enjoying their activities and facilities. It includes horse riding lessons, a visit to the farm and the cattle ranch.

You can also take a guided tour of the historic centre of Falces, which includes entrance to the Ochagavía Palace House and House Museum.

Visit to the Jesús Aranda Organic Olive Grove. You will discover a fine olive grove that after several years of work and patience has created a living and sustainable ecosystem, where various animal and plant species coexist to give the olive oil a special flavour.

Visit to the "Museo Rural de Paco". Francisco Autor, a neighbour of Falces, has created an exhibition in which he shows the evolution of agricultural tools, from 17th century implements to the GPS technology used today.

Tasting and sampling of Jesús Aranda Organic Olive Oil. There will be a tasting and sampling of his oil, perceiving its texture, smell and taste.
