Town Hall and Paseo de San Raimundo

Fitero’s urban axis is organised around Paseo de San Raimundo, a tree-lined avenue that brings together several cultural and administrative facilities. The Town Hall stands on this promenade, housed in the former monastic guesthouse, which explains its sober presence and historic connection with the great abbey complex. Today the building serves as the municipal seat and as a useful reference point for visitors starting their walk through the town centre.

Along the promenade there are different facilities, including the culture centre, cinema-theatre and library, which enliven local life with a regular programme. Terraces, benches and small green areas create a pleasant setting to rest between visits or have a drink before continuing towards the monastery or the upper quarter. This urban corridor also acts as a landscaped anteroom to Fitero’s monumental heritage.
