Town Hall
The Town Hall occupies two joined buildings: one from the late 15th century and another from the 16th century. In the main building, whose facade was remodelled in Neoclassical style in 1800, the plenary hall preserves Neo-Renaissance decoration and plasterwork from 1919. The original bay contains the entrance hall and the cellar, used as a public prison between the 16th and 19th centuries. The second building, facing Calle Rúa, was built in 1575 and still displays a 17th-century coat of arms. It stands in Plaza Vieja, next to the cathedral.
