Ruta de las Salinas

• Starting point: Entrance to the salt flats (old Valtierra by-pass, intersection with Landazuria).
• End point: Entrance to the salt flats (old Valtierra by-pass, intersection with Landazuria).
• Distance: 3 km approx.
• Difficulty: low, except for some sections of the path which require a little more technique.

It goes through the interior of the ravines and allows you to see the arrangement of the rocks in thin layers of gypsum and clay, forming whimsical shapes moulded by the erosion of water, wind and human action.

The interior of these mountains is home to one of the most valuable resources exploited by the inhabitants of Valtierra, salt. We can see some of the mines from which salt was extracted, although most of them are now closed.
