Bobadilla Palace (Villafranca)
A monumental building due to its immense proportions, it is considered an outstanding example of the riverside baroque style. Built with solid face brick on the exterior façades, it dates from the end of the 17th century or the beginning of the 18th century. It has numerous basements, two floors and an attic. On the façade to the west is the main door, a stone lintel with a balcony at the top, mounted on three stone corbels. There is a niche between pilasters, crowned with a curved tympanum, where an image was housed. The typical gallery of semicircular arches has geometric decoration, and the wooden cornice has been completely rebuilt. It is municipal property and has recently been restored in several phases (roof, floors) by means of a school-workshop that maintains its headquarters and classrooms in the interior, modern and functional, with an attractive staircase, also rehabilitated.
