Convent of Our Lady of Carmen
Founded in the 18th century, the convent follows the model of a Baroque conventual church: a long nave with five bays and interconnected chapels, a crossing with a dome, and a straight apse; a barrel vault with lunettes in the nave and a groin vault in the chapels. The brick facade is organized into two levels with an lower portico and a central niche. Its proximity to the parish church and the palace, along with the Atrium, forms the most photogenic Baroque corner of Villafranca.
