Yugo Hermitage (Arguedas)
Tradition says that it was in the same place where the hermitage was built that Mary appeared.
The place is a strategic point at the gates of the Bardenas and one of the highest points in Arguedas (491 metres). It is about 5 kilometres from the village and can be reached by a renovated local road with a good road surface.
The present hermitage was built in the 17th century. The building was constructed by the architect Pedro de Arrese, in the Gothic-Renaissance style. In addition to its large brick walls and Renaissance airs, with thick and robust buttresses below and a delicate belfry crowning its doorway, the building has a nave with three sections covered by starred vaults and the choir loft at the foot.
