Old Church of San Blas
The old Church of San Blas, founded by the Order of the Temple in the 12th century and rebuilt in the 16th, is the main landmark of the town’s religious heritage. The current building is a Gothic-Renaissance single-nave church, the result of that major reconstruction, and preserves the memory of the original medieval temple. In the 17th century, the chapel of San Bartolome was added, with an altarpiece in a Baroque Churrigueresque style.
Although it is no longer an active parish church, the ensemble retains its historical and artistic value and forms part of the cultural routes through the town centre, together with other religious landmarks in the municipality.
