Capuchin Convent (Tudela)

This is a Baroque building (1730-1753) built in brick, which marked the transition to the Neoclassical style in Tudela. With a rectangular façade, framed by giant pilasters and decorated with foliage, it has Rococo sculptures inside, and oil paintings by Berdusán, as well as a rich liturgical trousseau.

The movement of the façade is very interesting, as is the moulding of the cornice inside, hints of which lead us to a splendid altarpiece in the High Altar. On the end walls of the transept there are two canvases by Vicente Berdusán, the Virgin and Child and Saint Joseph imposing the necklace on Saint Teresa.

It is advisable to confirm an appointment in advance.
