Discover Murchante

Set in La Ribera de Navarra, just 4 km from Tudela, Murchante combines the agricultural character of the Queiles valley with a growing cultural and nature offer. Its 13 km² municipal area lies on a river terrace at 323 m above sea level, watered by the Queiles river and the Lodosa Canal, which helped transform former dry farmland into a mosaic of vineyards, market gardens and fruit trees. The Mediterranean-continental climate, with plenty of sunshine, low rainfall and the cierzo as natural ventilation, favours early grape harvests and vegetables full of flavour.

Winegrowing tradition can be felt in family wineries and the local cooperative, while the Tarazonica Greenway invites visitors to walk or cycle the 22 km between Tudela and Tarazona, with wide views towards Moncayo. Wetlands such as Cardete and Pulguer, the latter suitable for bathing and popularly known as ā€œthe beach of La Riberaā€, are good places for birdwatching. The experience is rounded off by a lively festive calendar, with San Gregorio in May and San Roque in August, and by cuisine that pairs local wine with seasonal vegetables.
